The warm up for the Grand Prix yesterday was right on. The work Shannon and Lindsey have done this month has been effective, clear and classic…on the hind end, not in the shoulder and active. And most importantly Lance was understanding the concepts.
Our lovely, super tryer Grand Prix horse just didn’t quite understand all the subtleties of the concepts in the big ring. Oh man he tried but Lindsey had to remind him way too many times to make the test as smooth and as top notch as we needed at this CDI.
So on to tonight…
Tonight is the Freestyles. He has a great freestyle and we’re sure he can take some of the learning from yesterday into tonight’s test!!!
We love our big, wonderful (abet a bit slow in the uptake on new ideas….) dressage horse.
Off to the stable…it’s William in the ring first today!
