Edited these photos on the plane ride home yesterday…
Off to the stable, busy day ahead…gonna be a great day!
A full day at Temecula Valley RV repair…a part installed in the air leveling system of the coach and the water leak that showed up with the the last rain, has been tracked down. Hopefully with the fix they did yesterday, we’re water tight again! I didn’t stay for the water test scheduled for today…you’d have to poke my eyeballs out to spend another day sitting around doing nothing but waiting…we’ll test it with the next rain storm in Oceanside.
But I went for a walk in the morning and found a mani/pedi along the way. Yeah. A small consolation for not being at Arroyo with my horses for the day (or not on my bike in the afternoon)! I now get to go home with fancy toes and trimmed fingernails.
Then I managed to navigate the motorcoach home to Oceanside in the dark. Put the flashlight in my teeth and hooked up all the drains and power cords and cable connections and even set up the satellite so Lindsey can watch Canadian TV over the holidays. At least she can watch the snow on the weather channel next week…
Gonna be a great day, checked in for my flight home tomorrow, off to dinner in Del Mar…
The morning started out quite chilly and turned beautiful and warm in the afternoon.
We finished early afternoon and then picked up the coach to head to Temecula The coach needed a part installed and a water leak fixed. We parked and hooked it up at the repair shop in Temecula and headed to Costco for supplies. We were here for the night.
Lindsey had an early start to her morning as she drove to the stable from Temecula. I stayed behind to wait for the coach and drive it back to Oceanside. Hopefully it’ll be fixed soon and I even might get a ride on my bike this afternoon!! Here’s hopin’!!!
Fingers crossed for an easy fix on the coach and a quick trip back to the RV park!!!
We worked Lance and Fred with Shannon yesterday. We worked William early in the am, before Lance and Fred. No photos of William as I have a hard time snapping photos and coaching effectively! Way too much going on at one time for my multi-tasking little mind!
After working the horses today, we are going to head north to Temecula with the coach. The part we ordered last month is in and the install should not take very long to do Wednesday am. We can park and plug in the coach tonight right at the repair facility. They’ll have access to it early in the am, get it repaired and we’re back to Oceanside for Wednesday night…I hope!
Another big day ahead…yeah!
It was very quiet at Arroyo yesterday. Sounds of relaxing, contented horses…munching, nickering and relaxed clip clop of walking hoofs on the alley way floor.
We put a light, stretchy ride on our horses.
Dawn did an amazing job body clipping Lance. He looks great and is not so sweaty after work. Thanks Dawn! They all were body clipped at home at the same time, Lance was the only one of the three that needed to be re-clipped.
We got home early afternoon; Lindsey headed to the gym, I walked the beach.
Gonna be another great day…off to Arroyo,
This is what we saw on our shopping trip for an extension cord…at Target…
I didn’t see any signs to remove your kids from the cart first.
And back at home…Mack got brave at the Christmas party and sat with Santa…
Today is a ride day. Maybe a turnout day as well, the paddocks should be much drier today.
Off to Arroyo…
We started the day’s rides with William. The weather was crisp this morning and warm in the sunshine.
A short clip of William from yesterday…
Our next ride was Freddie and oh boy the wind picked up. Things were being blown around the farm; tree branches, lawn chair cushions and anything that wasn’t battened down. Off to the covered arena with Fred…we were still dodging wind born debris but better than out in the open in the dressage ring. Fred was a star. She concentrated and went to work.
The wind died down somewhat for Lance’s ride so we were back in the dressage ring. Another good ride.
Lance needs to be clipped again and as the trailer (and most of our extra tack re clippers) is still in Alberta till next month, Dawn will clip him today. Thanks Dawn! Lance got a bath in the blustery afternoon. With piles of coolers and extra winter blankets, we kept him snuggy and warm. He’ll be so much more comfortable without the extra fur!
Back at the coach, we caught up on laundry, etc. Linds went to the gym, I headed for a walk on the beach.
All and all a great day!
Day off for all the horses today. We may be able to turn them out today, depends on the footing in the turnout pens. I’m sure they would love to have a good roll in the sand, with the rain, they haven’t had turnout this week.
Off to feed and walk our horses,
